The main component of animal gelatin is gelatin peptide protein.One of its low purity is called bone glue.Bone glue is a brittle, hard, solidified body.Collagen is a protein insoluble in water. After heating and other treatment, it will become another form of protein called colloid, which can dissolve in hot water and has the bonding property.The film of bone glue is very firm and elastic after formation.
Bone glue beads are generally used as adhesives, electroplating additives, sizing agents, coagulant AIDS.
When using bone glue, first use the same volume or slightly more water (preferably with hot water) to soak the bone glue for about 10 hours, so that the glue block becomes soft, and then heated to about 75℃, so that it can be used as glue liquid.The ratio of glue to water should be determined according to the desired viscosity.Hot glue temperature should not be too high, the temperature of more than 100℃ will decrease the viscosity due to molecular degradation, glue aging metamorphism.Bone glue has trace precipitation in use, so it should be used while adding water well for necessary mixing, in order to adjust viscosity and fluidity
