Tablet is also the mainstream dosage form in the pharmaceutical industry. The aqueous solution of gelatin has a certain viscosity and film-forming properties, which occupies a place in these applications. It can be used as the adhesive of tablet or the isolation material of sugar coated tablet

Gelatin is usually coated on the surface of the tablet after granulation with a wet powder, while hydrolyzed gelatin can be applied directly to the tablet.When applied to wet particles, medicinal gelatin should be prepared in a hot water solution with a concentration of 5 to 10% to avoid gelation.Standard gelatin has a higher adhesive strength than hydrolyzed gelatin, and more importantly, it has a stronger adhesive.As a result, the harder and more cohesive the coating or tablet is, and the longer of disintegration time.
